Maintenance of epoxy resin tables

How to Maintain the Flawless Gloss of Your Leonardo Gravina Table

Expert care tips to preserve the deep shine and artistic detail of your resin centerpiece.

Introduction

A Leonardo Gravina table is a fusion of art and craftsmanship. Whether it’s the organic flow of a River Table, the intricate depth of our Marble-inspired pouring art, or a custom metallic design, the high-gloss resin finish is what brings the piece to life. To keep that "liquid" look as vibrant as the day it was delivered, follow these professional maintenance steps.

1. Everyday Cleaning: Keep it Simple

The best way to clean your resin surface is the simplest way. You want to remove dust and fingerprints without leaving streaks.

The Tool: Use a clean, high-quality microfiber cloth.

The Method: Slightly dampen the cloth with lukewarm water. Wipe in long, smooth strokes.

Avoid: Never use "all-purpose" kitchen sprays, glass cleaners with ammonia, or abrasive creams. These can create a cloudy film over the resin.

2. Guarding the High-Gloss Surface

Our tables are finished with a durable, high-end topcoat, but like the paint on a luxury car, it deserves respect.

Coasters are Key: Always use coasters for hot drinks. While our resin is heat-resistant, constant direct heat can eventually leave subtle marks.

Soft Landings: Place felt protectors under heavy vases or decor pieces. This prevents fine "hairline" scratches that can occur over years of use.

3. Alcohol and Chemicals: The Enemy

Resin is a non-porous material, which is great for hygiene, but it is sensitive to strong solvents.

The Warning: Keep nail polish remover, strong perfumes, and high-percentage alcohol away from the surface. If a spill occurs, wipe it up immediately with water and a mild pH-neutral soap.

4. Sunlight and Placement

We use premium UV-stabilized resins to ensure the colors—from the deep blues in a river table to the crisp whites in a marble design—stay true.

Pro Tip: To maintain the absolute clarity of the resin for decades, try to avoid placing the table in a spot where it gets harsh, direct afternoon sun for many hours a day.

5. Bringing Back the Shine

The beauty of a Leonardo Gravina table is that it is renewable.

• Unlike wood or stone that might stain permanently, resin can be re-polished. If, after years of heavy family use, the surface shows some wear, it can be professionally buffed back to its original mirror-like state.
