Galaxy Epoxy Dining Table: A 3D Universe Cast in Pure Resin
Partager
Some tables are furniture. The Galaxy table is closer to a piece of art you happen to eat dinner on. Look into its surface and you don’t see a flat pattern — you see genuine depth: swirling clouds of color that seem to drift several centimeters below the glass-like top, tiny points of light catching your eye from different angles as you move around it, exactly as stars would in a real night sky.
At Leonardo Gravina, the Galaxy table is one of our most requested pieces, built entirely by hand using materials and techniques that most workshops simply don’t work with.
A True 3D Effect, Not a Printed Pattern
What sets a genuine Galaxy table apart from imitation resin furniture is depth. Because the tabletop is built up in multiple physical layers of hand-poured resin, each containing its own pigments, metallic particles, and light-catching materials, the finished piece has real three-dimensional depth — not a flat image sealed under a layer of clear coating. Tilt the table under different light and the “stars” and color clouds appear to shift and move, because you are genuinely looking through several layers of cured resin rather than at a printed surface.
What Goes Into the Resin
Fully Custom Size and Shape
No two clients want the same table, so no two Galaxy tables are made from a fixed mold. You choose the exact size and shape of the tabletop together with us before production begins — whether that’s a compact round table for an intimate dining space or a large sculptural centerpiece for an open-plan living area. As with all our pieces, we do not build extendable tables; every table is made at the precise dimensions agreed upon, and it stays that way.
Gold Leaf Gilded Table Legs
Every Galaxy Table Is One of a Kind
Because each table is poured and layered by hand, no two Galaxy tables will ever be identical — even when made to similar specifications. Small variations in how the resin flows, how the metallic elements settle, and how the layers cure mean that every finished piece is genuinely unique. When you order a Galaxy table, you are not ordering a model; you are commissioning a one-off work.
Built for Everyday Life
Despite its artistic complexity, the Galaxy table is a fully functional dining table. Once cured, the resin surface is hard, scratch-resistant, and easy to maintain with nothing more than a soft cloth and a mild, non-abrasive cleaner — just like our other epoxy resin dining tables.
Pricing is always all-inclusive: the table itself, worldwide delivery, and any import duties or customs costs are built into your quote from the start, with no surprises after ordering.
FAQ
Is the 3D effect in a Galaxy table real, or is it a printed image under resin?
It’s real depth. The cosmic pattern is built from multiple physical layers of resin, each containing its own pigments and materials, so you are genuinely looking through several layers rather than at a flat printed surface.
What materials are used to create the galaxy effect
We work with mother of pearl, gold flakes, glitter, and gemstones, layered using techniques developed specifically for this design, all suspended within 100% cast epoxy resin.
Can I choose the exact size and shape of my Galaxy table?
Yes. Every table is made to order — you decide the dimensions and shape of the tabletop together with us before we begin. We do not make extendable tables; each piece is built at its final, agreed size.
Are the table legs also finished by hand?
Yes. The legs are gilded in gold leaf using a hand-applied technique, matching the level of craftsmanship used on the tabletop.
Will my table look exactly like the photos I’ve seen?
No two Galaxy tables are ever identical. Photos give you a sense of the style and palette, but the layering process means your table will be a unique piece, distinct from any other we’ve made.
Is a Galaxy table durable enough for daily dining use?
Yes. Once fully cured, the resin surface is hard and scratch-resistant, and requires only simple, gentle cleaning to maintain its gloss.
